About the Image Manipulation Courses

Introduction to Image Manipulation and Advanced Image Manipulation are two required courses at the Art Institute of Phoenix.

The Image Manipulation classes focus on the use of Adobe Photoshop as an image manipulation tool. The introductory class has a focus on technical skills and fine art applications for digital collage techniques.

The advanced class encourages students to put these skills into larger context by working on multimedia projects for four fictitious clients with specific marketing and design needs. Alison's section of Advanced Manipulation is geared specifically for Graphic Designers, Animators and Game Artists at the Art Institute of Phoenix.

Alison's individualized approach allows students to explore and develop their own styles while also learning to adapt to industry standards, jargon and processes.
