About
the Instructor:
Alison King grew
up in Scottsdale, Arizona and has been a digital
artist since
childhood. Her favorite art tool is her trusty scanner, and
her painting program of choice is Photoshop. She designs web
pages for the educational industry and teaches multimedia
arts to both kids and grownups, as well as college-level digital art at the Art Institute of Phoenix. Before returning to Phoenix Alison worked as a
digital arts consultant in New York City Public Schools with
hundreds of teachers and students of all ages and abilities.
Alison earned her undergraduate degrees in Illustration and
Art History at Parsons School of Design in New York City,
and more recently, earned a Masters Degree in Art Education
from Teachers College, Columbia University.
